Our School

Since its beginning in 1890 Orange East Public School has maintained a proud tradition of excellence in education and community involvement. The school is situated within an older, well established area of Orange and features a blend of modern and historic buildings located on spacious grounds with many beautiful trees. Most students live within walking distance of the school with buses servicing the perimeter. The schools relatively small enrolment (around 250 students) enables a close association between student, teacher and parent. The staff is aware of each child's needs, strengths and weaknesses as they progress from Kindergarten to Year 6. Orange East Public School has a committed, highly qualified staff with a mix of youth and experience. This allows for high quality, innovative teaching within an academic traditional environment in which pupils of all abilities are encouraged to reach their full potential.
